What this site is

Seek Optical (seekoptical.my) is a directory of optical shops in Malaysia. We index publicly available business listings — we are not affiliated with, and do not represent, any shop listed here unless that shop has explicitly claimed its record with us.

Where listing data comes from

Shop names, addresses, phone numbers, opening hours, categories, ratings, review counts and photos are sourced from publicly available Google Maps business listings. We don't write shop descriptions or invent details — every fact shown traces back to that source. If a listing is wrong, outdated, or shouldn't be here, contact us and we'll correct or remove it — see List with us.

What we collect from visitors

We don't run visitor analytics, tracking cookies, or advertising trackers on this site at this time. Standard server logs (the kind any web host keeps — IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) may be retained by our hosting provider for security and reliability purposes. If you email us, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and, where relevant, to update a listing.

Third-party links

Listing pages link out to each shop's own website and to Google Maps for directions. Those are third-party services with their own privacy practices — we don't control what they collect once you leave this site.

Claiming or correcting a listing

Shop owners can request a correction, a new listing, or to claim an existing record at any time — see List with us. We aim to act on correction requests promptly; claiming a listing may require you to verify you run the business.

Accuracy

We sweep and publish data in good faith, but business details change — a shop can move, close, or update its hours faster than our next sweep catches it. Always confirm opening hours or availability directly with a shop before making a special trip, especially around public holidays.
